St Peter’s offers outstanding tutorial teaching from world-leading academics in their fields. The small-group tutorial system at Oxford provides unrivalled, tailored learning experiences for our students, and the benefits of this style are plain: in the last three sets of published Norrington tables, our students’ results have twice placed St Peter’s in the top five; nothing short of extraordinary. Tutoring and nurturing students in this way is, however, resource-intensive, making the cost of the average St Peter’s education roughly three times more than the annual tuition fee. Our students always tell us that St Peter’s is the friendliest and most welcoming College in Oxford. We are so proud of the amazing things they achieve and the incredible community spirit they continue to uphold here at the College. Donations support bursaries, scholarships, the hardship fund, and have enabled us to appoint a Welfare Dean and dedicated Welfare Officers, who provide excellent pastoral care for students, ensuring that they are well looked-after and can reach their full potential. We also aim to enhance the student experience through music, arts, and sport initiatives.
St Peter's was among the first Oxford colleges to appoint a full-time member of staff dedicated to encouraging students from underrepresented backgrounds to apply. We host numerous school visits and workshops, working with pupils from age 10 and above. Your support enables us to continue and expand these vital initiatives.
